It’s powered by a 97.2cc single-cylinder engine, making 8.4 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, paired with a 4-speed gearbox. To handle ethanol-rich fuel reliably, Hero has fitted an updated ECU, a revised fuel pump, and an additional fuel filter.

Built on the popular Splendor platform, the Splendor Plus Flex Fuel uses a 97.2cc engine tuned to produce 8.44 bhp and 8.3 Nm. Priced at Rs 78,710 (ex-showroom), it also features Hero’s i3S idle stop-start system, which can help improve fuel efficiency in stop-and-go traffic, along with a semi-digital instrument console and unique flex-fuel styling.
By bringing flex-fuel technology to one of India’s most familiar commuter motorcycles, Hero is making E85-compatible technology more accessible to everyday riders, rather than limiting it to premium or performance-focused bikes.
3. Yamaha FZ Blue Flex
Yamaha’s first flex fuel motorcycle in India, the FZ Blue Flex, runs on ethanol blends from E20 all the way to E85. It’s powered by a 149cc air-cooled, fuel-injected Blue Core engine producing around 11.7 hp at 7,250 rpm and 12.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm through a 5-speed gearbox.

4. Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel
For riders who want performance alongside fuel flexibility, the Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel is currently India’s most powerful ethanol bike. Its 249cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine develops around 27–28 PS on E85 fuel and 22.5 Nm of torque, paired with a slick 6-speed gearbox. Suzuki has upgraded the injector, fuel pump, ECU, intake and exhaust valves, and fuel filter specifically for ethanol compatibility.

5. TVS Raider 125 Flex-Fuel (Coming Soon)
TVS is preparing to join the growing list of manufacturers offering flex-fuel motorcycles in India. The Raider 125 Flex-Fuel, first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo, is expected to be one of the company’s first models in this category. TVS Motor Company has also confirmed plans to gradually introduce more flex-fuel two-wheelers, building on the E20 fuel compatibility already available across its range.
It’s expected to use a 124.8cc, air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine tuned for E20-E85 blends, with a fully digital cluster, SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity, and a combined braking system.
